Can I purchase the programmes for “Study Only”, without sitting the examination?

Yes, this is an option, and you will still receive tutor support for the seven month nominal programme period.

Is there a price reduction for the Study-Only option?

No – you will still receive the same course materials and support, so the only difference is that you choose not to sit the examination.

If I choose the Study-Only option, can I sit the examination at a later date?

Yes, but only up to 14 months after the commencement of your original programme, and it must be on a standard exam sitting date. For award of the Certificate or Diploma, all modules will be assessed at once. In line with our examination re-take policy, the first examination sitting will be free of charge in these circumstances, but any examinations that need to be retaken will incur an additional fee of £40.

Can I just purchase individual modules?

Yes, individual modules can be purchased. They can be taken just for information, or you can sit the final examination in that module in order to receive a certificate of successful completion. They can be taken stand-alone, or in addition to a standard programme.

If I take individual modules at times of my choosing, will I gain award of the Certificate or Diploma?

No – for award of the Certificate or Diploma, the module examinations must all be sat at the same time, and the rules for examination re-sit adhered to.

Can I mix modules from the different programmes?

Only when purchasing the modules individually. For award of the Certificate or Diploma, the programme choices must be adhered to as any accreditation is only valid for the full programme. The programmes have been carefully designed to provide the required breadth and depth stated in the overall aims.
